Functions of the Department

Under Strategic thrusts 1, 2 and 3, the Department contributes programme activities towards achieving Expected results 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9:

• World Climate Research Programme (Expected Results 2 and 8);
• Global Atmosphere Watch Programme (GAW) (Expected Results 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8);
• World Weather Research Programme (WWRP) including THORPEX
  (Expected Results 1, 6, 7, and 9).
