Official celebrations at WMO Headquarters feature the participation of high profile guests, including a Nobel Prize winner, a Polar Researcher, and an American Astronaut. Live weather broadcasts from international presenters, the WMO50 Exhibition, public visits, school visits and scientific seminars will be part of WMO50 celebrations.

Excitingly, the first ever European presentation of NASA's Earth and Space Theater was made during the Open Doors Days on 18 and 19 March. The WMO balloon also took off on 17 March to hover over the WMO building for the next 7 days.
