World Meteorological Organization -

Building international consortium for accelerating Data Rescue and bringing the development of high quality climate data for the 21st century climate services

Objective:

Federate existing regional and international climate data initiatives and seek convergence  for  scoping multi-lateral initiatives / consortia  for the Rescue, Digitisation and Homogenization of climate records

 

Overall Idea

The side event will cover the following issues and questions:

1. Multilateral beneficial Data initiative for Climate assessment and adaptation,
2. What capacity development is needed for Developing Countries and Least Developed Countries in climate data?
3. Why do we need collaborative efforts on Data Rescue, Homogenization and Digitization of records?
