GFCS Dialogue Side Event:

International Research Institute for Climate and Society, Columbia University - Climate Services Partnership

Objective:

The Climate Services Partnership will report on more than 30 case studies developed over the last year in collaboration with providers and users of climate information around the world. Speakers from the CSP community will discuss specific climate services activities, and will offer perspective on the role of nongovernmental actors and the linking of public and private sectors in the implementation of climate services.

 

Overall Idea

The Climate Services Partnership facilitates the exchange and development of knowledge toward accessible, useful and technically sound climate services. It includes climate services researchers, providers, users, and donors. These groups share resources and work together to promote, coordinate, and support collaboration in research, training, piloting, evaluation, and data and information access and management.
