Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) - Climate Services Projects in Yemen and Nepal

Objective:

To showcase the work going on in Yemen and Nepal and how the project’s aims are aligned with the GFCS.

 

Overall Idea

The World Bank is assisting the Government of Yemen and Nepal to increase its resilience to climate change by strengthening the capacity of the Civil Aviation Meteorological Authority / Yemen Meteorological Service (CAMA/YMS), the country’s National Meteorological Service (NMS), to provide essential Weather, Climate and Hydrological services and strengthen the capacity of national users of these services, especially the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MAI), Agricultural Research and Extension Authority (AREA), and National Water Resources Authority (NWRA).
