WMO Core Metadata Profile: Changes to the WMO Core Metadata Profile and the method of authorizing changes including a “Fast Track” procedure.

EC decided that PTC is the authority for authorizing changes to the Metadata standard, and  CBS approved a change to both the standard and to the method of authorizing changes to streamline the procedures and get the approval of the Technical Commissions in parallel with consultation with Members, and also to introduce a "Fast
Track" procedure.

WMO STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL PLANNING

4.1

TCs input into the WG SOP Meeting (21 January 2013)

To address the outcome of the Joint Meeting of the PRAs and PTCs (28 October 2012) which requested for input to the SOP meeting with regard to improving coordination between RAs and PTCs, and developing “one operational plan that defines the needs and priorities of the RAs”. The meeting had recommended developing further, the following:
a. The proposal by the president of RA VI; and
b. The existing CHy coordination model.
