Welcome to Procurement and Travel Services Division

This Website is the public portal to Procurement and Travel Services at World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The function of this website is to provide information to vendors and clients of the WMO.

The procurement and Travel Services Division (PTS) at WMO, which is located in Geneva, Switzerland, is responsible for procurement and Travel Services for the Organization – acquisition of equipments, goods, works and services for use at WMO Headquarters and Field Offices, including issuance of guidelines for same and attending to all details regarding transportation, itineraries, accommodation including issuance of tickets, payment of travel expenses, issuance of UN Laissez-passer and visas for WMO’s staff, consultants, fellowship holders and participants in meetings and fora – respectively.

The goals of the PTS is the execution of the process of purchasing of equipments, goods, services in such way that meets the principles of fairness, transparency, integrity through open competition and offering travel services through the most direct and economic routing. These goals are oriented towards maximum economy and effectiveness in accordance with the objectives of the Organization.

The process of selection of supplier and issuance of ticketing services is based on compliance with the technical requirements of the goods or services sought, and value for money, with due regard to quality and cost, and through the most direct and least expensive routing.
