The objectives of the 8th meeting of the GIFS-TIGGE working group meeting are:
- Discuss research needs and set priorities
- Review recent research based on TIGGE data
- Widen the use of TIGGE data
- Take forward the GIFS Forecast Demonstration Project and interactions with related FDPs, as mandated by the ICSC
- Agree validation plans for products developed for FDPs
- Agree how to evaluate societal impacts
- Engage with the CBS Severe Weather Forecast Demonstration Project
