Regional Office for Europe

The WMO Regional Office for Europe (ROE) is part of the Development and Regional Activities Department in the WMO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The main tasks of ROE are as follows:

1) To assist the Members of Regional Association VI (Europe)
2) To provide secretarial support to the RA VI Sessions
3) To assist the President of RA VI, the Management Group and other subsidiary bodies
4) To act as interface between the Members and the WMO Departments and Programmes
5) To advise Members on implementation and policy matters
6) To represent WMO at meetings and activities of other relevant regional organizations
7) To support resource mobilization activities, including the development and execution of capacity building projects
