Region III (South America)The South American continent includes great natural variety. It is therefore subject to many different impacts from weather and climate events. The main issues in this region are flooding and land slide. As funding in many South American countries is limited, the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) depend on the help from other sources.
