1. Purpose and objectives
To broadcast meteorological and hydrological data by telephone.
Accurately detecting and quickly recognising abrupt changes in nature's phenomena is a very important ingredient in guarding against
disasters. This voice response set is an instrument that, through a
telephone circuit, is able to transmit automatically meteorological and
hydrological data relating to both the water level and amount of rainfall. The system converts digital output from different automatic instruments to voice messages that reply to incoming telephone calls. Alarm levels can be
BCD digital signals from automatic instruments.
