Credentials

Credentials are required for representatives of Members and should be issued by an appropriate governmental authority, which is normally the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Credentials letters should indicate names and functional titles of the principal delegate (head of delegation) and other delegates. Credentials will be examined by the WMO Secretariat and, if required, by the Credentials Committee.

Credentials letters for representatives of UN agencies, funds, programmes and other international organizations invited as observers should be signed by Heads of organizations or appropriate officials.

Credentials should be submitted the Secretary-General in advance preferably before 29 April 2011 by mail, or fax.
