Questionnaire on availability and use of satellite data and products

Purpose of the Questionnaire

One strategic goal of the WMO Space Programme is to improve the utilization of the space-based capabilities of the Global Observing System (GOS) with emphasis on utilization of satellite data and services in developing countries.  This should be informed by a recurring review and monitoring activity, supported in particular by a biennial questionnaire to WMO Members.

The 2010 edition

The 2010 questionnaire covering the 2008-2009 biennium, was issued on 13 January 2010 in four languages (English, French, Russian and Spanish). One hundred replies have been received and analyzed.  Its outcome has been published in January 2011 (see below).
