This edition of the International List of Selected, Supplementary and Auxiliary Ships contains information about the ships participating in the WMO Voluntary Observing Ships Scheme.  Information has been supplied by the countries which have recruited ships within the framework of this programme, in accordance with regulation 2.3.3.3 and 2.3.3.4 as contained in WMO Publication No. 544 - Manual on the Global Observing System, Volume I, Part III
