IPCC Summary for Policymakers launched

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has now finalized its Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) entitled Climate Change 2007. The reports by the three Working Groups provide a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the current state of knowledge on climate change. The Synthesis Report, which integrates the information around six topic areas, was issued at the 27th session of the IPCC in Valencia, Spain, on 17 November 2007.

The Fourth Assessment Report, which provides authoritative scientific information and calls for action to address climate change, served as a basic tool for policymakers at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, in Bali, Indonesia, 3 to 14 December 2007.

The Physical Science Basis (Working Group I) was released in Paris on 2 February 2007. Full report Summary for Policymakers
