WCC-3 has taken place at the Geneva International Conference Centre (ICCG), which offers modern and comfortable facilities. The Centre is at walking distance from United Nations headquarters and convenient for visiting downtown Geneva and the surrounding areas by public transport.

Geneva enjoys a temperate climate with warm temperatures in late summer. The mean high temperature for August is 24°C and for September is 21°C. The mean low temperature is 13°C and 10°C, respectively. Mean rainfall amounts for August and September are 68 mm and 70 mm, respectively.
