WMO Activities at COP28

WMO supports the United Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) process and every year participates in sessions of the Conference of the Parties (COP).

A top-level delegation from WMO will attend COP28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 30 November-12 December 2023. It will provide the latest scientific advice and information to governments on the state of the climate, greenhouse gases, water resources.

It will also engage with decision makers on strengthening climate adaptation through the Early Warnings for All initiative.

WMO invites delegates and journalists to visit its Science for Climate Action Pavilion, organized jointly with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the MERI Foundation and the National Meteorological Service of TA3-115, Thematic Arena 3, Blue Zone, Expo City.
