Extreme weather affected the northwestern regions of Libya on Sunday, 24 / 10 / 2021. Thunderclouds accompanied by rainfall and giant hail hit these regions. The highest rainfall was recorded in Garian: 25.7 mm - Tigrina: 18.0 mm - Qawasim: 14.5 mm. The rainfall caused car accidents, whereas the giant hailstones damaged cars. The National Meteorological Centre (NMC) issued and disseminated daily weather bulletins to the public sectors and via the media highlighting this extreme event.
