Let us ensure that Earth information is not only collected — but also understood, accessible, and actionable for all.
Celeste Saulo, WMO Secretary-General
Severe Weather Information Centre
The Centre enhances the availability of authoritative warnings for extreme and/or potentially high-impact weather, water and climate events from WMO Members.
Early Warnings for All
The Early Warnings for All initiative was launched in 2022 to ensure that everyone on Earth receives life-saving early warnings for hazardous weather, water or climate events by the end of 2027.
The Community Platform allows WMO to improve the efficiency of its working relationships with its Members. The Platform is accessible to anyone.
WMO divides the world into six regions for the purpose of coordinating meteorological activities, known as WMO regions.
